I consider myself more than just a footballer. I am a 19 year old guy who is interested in the world and asks himself a lot of questions about what is right and what is not.
And the problem of refugees is obviously one of my concerns as a citizen.
What will our world look like tomorrow?
That's why I decided to support the '2 BILLION KILOMETERS TO SAFETY' campaign. When thinking about the best way to participate, I decide to only record my kilometers traveled in a game (around 10km), because that makes my commitment to the project more qualitative. These are the most important kilometers of the week!
Honestly, I do not see the campaign as an individual challenge. I am not doing it for myself but for others. So I have to talk about it, explain it to as many people as possible.
Walking or running is often a moment to self where you can take stock, think. So let's use this available brain time to think of others who are living their journey like a huge challenge.
