The RBFA has been working with refugees and asylum seekers for some time now. Read on to learn more about the activities of the RBFA .

Since April 2017, the RBFA and its partners Voetbal Vlaanderen, ACFF and Pro League have been working with refugees and asylum seekers through the integration project "Everyone on the Field". The project was subsidized in the initial phase by Fedasil and UEFA. Through 'Everyone in the field' we want to promote the inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers through football, because football has the power to bring people together.

Some 44 pilot clubs in Belgium are already working intensively within the scope of this project to involve this target group in their club activities and to offer them opportunities to develop themselves further. For this they work together with local reception initiatives, municipal authorities and local organizations.

"You do not choose to be a refugee, but you choose to be an active refugee", says a committed man who started a soccer team with refugees.

Several clubs have already set up beautiful initiatives. There are many clubs that, besides connecting players, also focus on acquiring and training volunteers. For example, there are some volunteers who take on the task of referee, steward, member of the cleaning team, trainer, parking attendant, etc.

In addition to this focus, there are also clubs that offer language lessons and homework guidance for the training.

In short, a lot of fantastic initiatives from our Belgian football clubs.

Furthermore, we have also developed a brochure tailored to the target group in 4 different languages. One leaflet is about volunteering in football and the other about how girls' football is organized and how you can participate.

We closed 2018 with an event at the Belgian Football Center in Tubize. All pilot clubs and relief initiatives involved in the integration project 'Everyone on the field' received an invitation for this event. Together with them we want to conclude the successful second project year with a number of interesting workshops, a football tournament and a foot festival. Here you will find our aftermovie.

In June 2019 a new national tournament will be organized. Make sure you're there!
